The future lies in development of machines and tools. What
is the current trend in interface design?
Generally it is to be observed that all technology places the technology itself
and the feasible into the focus first. The practical use comes only later.
Take a look, for instance, how brachial the first cars looked! Today they are
comfortable, lavishly designed, much more safe and also much faster. The technology
is humanized - with the computers for example, we are still very far from developed
level.
Do you think that artificial intelligence can replace humans, namely would
it be possible that a robot take Antje's place? <smile>

And, since by stoic belief, Divine is in every thing, where
can we find it in robots?
Creation of a being is probably the most divine of all which one can be introduced
to - and we witness it from the human viewpoint which is an illusion of size.
This is however only the view of the monotheistic God. My world view is pantheistic
- in which ALL is God. And in it, robots are included within nature, just as
humans, air, the dust..
Your music is decorated by classical poems. Is there any science fiction book
that might inspire you to write music?
Oh, certainly several, at least. “Neuromancer” perhaps,
or works of H.G Wells.
Is there any contemporary artist (painter, sculptor) who's
work might be orchestrated by sToas music?
Artwork of my spouse <www.froebnet.de>.
But I had to say that, otherwise she would be angry. <smile>
Olaf's wish (and I heartily agreed) was to discuss questions
of life in this interview. Not plans for the next album or concerts,
but overall look through his thoughts. It' s supposed to shed a
new light on his entire opus. We hope it did.
Might be you expected a conversation about sToa's music. Here
is my description: His compositions seem as simple, neo-romantic classical
pieces. People who listen to them carefully and faithfully know their depth.
Timeless orchestrations, modern enhances the classical. There are some who
set his works among the best albums ever produced. Their arguments are strong.
