KMFDM +PIG = Sturm & Drang Tour 2002

Of course that I support the idea of having KMFDM's concerts on DVD, but purpose of it is the ultimate sound quality, interesting visuals and additional information. None of it is present onthis release (except Lucia's appearance, although minimal in off-stage footage).

The only thing that is really worthy of attention is music of KMFDM+ PIG. Although not active and energetic in motion, the 7 member crew delivers experienced play. I watched masters at work in San Francisco and remember crowd reacting automatically to every change in rhythm, every melody. No encouragement from Watts or Sascha, just pure reaction to music. This release is intended for those hardcore fans of KMFDM.

With standard setup of song /off-stage scenes / song/ off-stage scenes, this DVD could have been excellent. Just a bit more of tour-caravan footage, bit more interesting camera angles during concerts, much more sound quality and this disc would have been a real treat...

So now you ask: "What is the point of buying this DVD when so many ingredients is missing?" Honestly speaking, I don't have an answer to that question. It simply doesn't match the quality and name of KMFDM, and it should have - they deserve it.
