SEPTIC III

Another product from Stefan Herwig’s workshop. Like always: good idea, good tools, good material – exclusive tracks, quality remixes, and result is an excellent compilation.

From established names of Suicide Commando ('Cry For Mother'), Icon Of Coil ( 'In Absence – Bodhran Mix') and Sulpher ('Fear Me – Alt. Needle Mix') to newborn Babyland ('Nowadays') and Stockastic Theory ('What You Weren’t – Echo Virus Mix'), you will find the track(s) you like. Of course, at least one of the new bands will be big in a year’s time so check them out early! My bet is on Pzycho Bitch ( 'Wake Up – S.I.T.D. Mix').     :))

Dependent’s own Ivory Frequency did a superb job on 'Clock Is Ticking Fast – Resilience Version', as well as Analogue Brain on classic 'Warm Leatherette'. Remixes of Seabound ‘s tracks are usually ten times better than the originals, and 'Coward 2k2' is no exception.
Maybe your favourite will be slow 'Wenishtoo' from Paperhouse  that closes this fifteen track compilation, or maybe opening song '3,14' from Autoaggression – the choice is yours. I’d go with Interlace and ‘Soul Of A New Machine’.

Diverse group of bands, some original, some still fighting the clichés, but all in all entertaining. Herwig’s record labels have been used as springboard for success in couple of cases. This compilation is a good start. Who is your pick for stardom?
