:WUMPSCUT: – Preferential Tribe (USA)

Now, I have to persuade you to get this release. How am I going to do it? By simply noting what is in the package:

CD1: “Music For A German Tribe” album - you know, that one with ‘Soylent Grün’, ‘Schwarzer Tod’ and ‘In Der Nacht’. You must have that one already, right? Fine example of Rudy Ratzinger’s ‘mature phase’. All with it’s brutality, darkness, aggression and passion.
No, that is not all. The real treat is in remixes and new tracks: ‘All Cried Out’, cover of Alyson Moyet’s (?!) song, being the firstborn. Why that song?? :)) Surprising piece of work, I must say. It will be played in clubs, that’s for sure! How are we going to name this type of music, “Tod/ Death pop”? hahahaha we might as well…. Another novelty is 'Overkill'. Definitely not pop music, not even it’s deadly version.
To continue in deadlier tone, another surprise is ‘ Marta Arnau Marti’ – Rudy R. making ambient, experimental stuff. They say it’s old, I say it’s good. Everyone is right. Remixes you probably heard on their original releases or in clubs, so CD2 is ready for dissection:

“Preferential Legacy” – an album from the ‘green phase’ of :W: - it is just a ‘prelude’ to band’s major works, a testube. Influenced by Leaether Strip, right? It sounds surprisingly quiet, I must say. Well, until ‘Capitolo Finale’ – first glimpse of Wumpscut we know today. The rest is really a history. Including the vintage stuff: ‘God’, and unreleased ‘Crang March’ and ‘C.B.T’. Might be old and crude tracks, but still energetic.
Then, it all ends with ‘Dried Blood Of Gomorrha’…

It would be unfair to grade this release, based on just two new tracks. I mean, it has a substantial quality in it, no doubt, but this time I just wanted to inform you that “Preferential Tribe” is out there and that the choice is yours.
